Title: Medical: Computers and Office Applications: MOS Certification Series
Duration: 64 Hours
Overview: This course prepares students for the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) test objectives. The Microsoft Office Specialist designation distinguishes office users from their peers as truly knowledgeable in using Office products. It can also make them more competitive in a tight job market. It is a program focused on the essential skills needed to successfully apply the Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software products in everyday situations.

This course is part of the Healthcare Information Management Series programs at New Horizons. The course consists of five different Instructor-led classes: Word Level I and II, Excel Level I and II and Outlook Level I.


Outline: Word Level 1 and Word Level 2
· Creating a document, Editing and formatting text and paragraphs
· Adding tables and managing the data
· Setting page displays and printing
· Creating templates and newsletters and Sending form letters
· Creating a Web page
· Managing document changes

Excel Level 1 and Excel Level 2
· Creating, editing and formatting worksheets
· Printing basic worksheets and charts
· Creating templates
· Sorting, Filtering, Analyzing, Importing and Exporting data
· Working with advanced formulas
· Collaborating on the Web

Outlook Level 1
· Sending and receiving mail messages
· Using a calendar to schedule appointments
· Coordinating business meetings with multiple participants
· Customizing messages
· Organizing the mailbox and Saving and archiving mail
· Sharing Outlook data
